CNOOC shenzhen semi-submersible platform achieves ultra-long horizontal section open-hole completion
In August 2021, Ruifeng completed a total of 14 well operations for the key development projects of CNOOC. The maximum well depth of this project was 4,435 meters, and the average open hole length of the horizontal wells was 1,010 meters, with the longest open hole length reaching 1,730 meters. The construction was very challenging. Among them, the Lufeng oilfield had a total of 4 production wells, and the drilling and completion operations were carried out using a semi-submersible drilling platform. Ruifeng's rotatable and anti-premature-setting sand control packer & two-stage float shoe provided a guarantee for the smooth lowering of the anti-sand pipe column into the wellbore. All the completion tools were successfully placed in the wellbore in one attempt, with a one-time setting and setting verification success rate of 100%, and the performance was stable and reliable. This contributed professional strength to the smooth and early commissioning of the two "New and Superior Fast" projects in the eastern part of the South China Sea.
