Highly complex one-trip multi-zone operations were successfully applied in CNOOC Zhanjiang
In December 2021, the oilfield in Zhanjiang successfully carried out a one-trip multi-zone gravel packing sand control in a deep well with a large displacement. This operation achieved a 50% improvement in efficiency compared to the previous single-zone packing sand control operation, and the production after implementation significantly exceeded the reservoir production quota.
The construction of this one-trip multi-zone gravel pack was extremely challenging. The average well depth of the two deep wells with large displacements was 4,165 meters, and the displacement was 3,481 meters. The Ruifeng service team overcame the complexity of the process, the accuracy of the piping, and the high friction pressure during the packing process. Through reasonable technical optimization, the on-site construction process was carried out with 24-hour on-site supervision and hard work. The entire project was completed smoothly, fully demonstrating the mature and reliable sand control operation tools and outstanding technical service capabilities. This has opened up a new path for solving the packing sand control problem in deep wells with large displacements in the western South China Sea.
