The domestic level 5 multilateral well completion technology was first applied
In November 2023, Ruifeng conducted the first 1,179-meter ultra-long open-hole horizontal multilateral well completion operation in a well of CNOOC Shenzhen Branch’s Wenchang Oilfield, successfully achieving the first sea trial of domestically developed research tools for level 5 multilateral well.
Ruifeng innovatively developed level 5 multilateral well drilling and completion tools, enabling independent sealing production and separate control of the main wellbore and branch wellbore. This provides a guarantee measure for oilfield production increase. The successful sea trial of the level 5 multilateral drilling and completion tools is of great significance. It broke the technical monopoly of foreign countries on key tools for level 5 multilateral wells, solved the situation where multi-level branch drilling and completion tools have long relied on imports, and reduced the implementation cost of branch wells.
The project has successively appeared on the public account of CNOOC Zhanjiang Branch, the internal network of CNOOC Zhanjiang Branch, and the second page of the "Ocean Oil" newspaper. Its influence is extraordinary!
