Successful completion of sand control wellbore construction for high-difficulty extended-reach wells
The sand control completion of the high-difficulty extended-reach well in Shenzhen was successfully carried out.
The well depth is 9,508 meters, setting a new record for the well depth of CNOOC. The water-to-rock ratio is 5.1. There are many and long mudstone sections, with the longest one reaching 400 meters and a mud content of 42%. It is difficult to send balls in deep wells and the pulling-off weight is hard to control. These situations pose challenges to the lowering of the pipe string, the wear resistance and stability of the tools, as well as the capabilities of the operators.
All the procedures of the project were completed in one step. The setting, setting verification, and release were all successful at one go. The performance and quality of the tools received unanimous praise from the client. The professional skills and technical level of the personnel were highly recognized by the client. Ruifeng has strong adaptability and has been repeatedly praised by the client for its strong logistical support, on-site support, and response speed.
