OHGP System

The OHGP (Open-Hole Gravel Pack) system is used for gravel pack completion in horizontal open-hole wells.

The tool has a full circulation path during RIH, that the whole wellbore could be replaced with completion fluids and anti-fluid-loss pill. After a ball is dropped to set the packer, the tool is picked up to the circulation position which enables the sand slurry to flow through the screens and up to the surface. After the gravel pack pumping is completed, the tool is then picked up to the reverse circulation position to wash out excessive sands in tubing. After the tubing is clean of sand, it is further picked up and another ball is then dropped to actuate a direct flush flow path, break fluids could be placed in the open hole section to break excessive anti-fluid loss pills.

The OHGP system uses a model FS packer as the top isolation, it also has a model MTB anti-hydraulic lock seal bore to avoid lock-up, and a model FX float shoe acting as a check valve at the bottom of the string.
