HS Hydraulic-Set Retrievable Packer

The Model “HS” hydraulic-set retrievable packer is a high performance production packer designed for high differential pressure and temperature (15,000 psi (103.4 MPa)/400°F(204°C) in single or multi-zone application. This unique packer combines the high performance of a permanent packer with the conveniences of a retrievable packer. It is not only ideally suited for wells where the HP/HT are anticipated, but also incorporate the retrieving features. The packer setting is achieved by pressuring up the tubing against a plugging device. For this design, the threaded top connection is utilized to eliminate the need for a threaded latch anchor. A bidirectional barrel slip is featured to permit the high tensile and compressive loading without deforming to the casing. Propped element package is used to enhance the sealing reliably and can be retrieved with the packer. The packer is released by cutting the main mandrel with a chemical or mechanical cutting tool, then the packer and tailpipe will be retrieved without leaving any packer component in the well.
