Internal Fish Neck (GS, GR)

The GS running or pulling tool is used to run, or unlock & pull the subsurface device with an internal type fish neck. It is designed to shear and release by downward jar action, thus it is normally used to retrieve a subsurface device that can be released by an upward jar. If the device occurred stuck and cannot be retrieved by upward jarring, a downward jar can release the GS tool from the device.

The GR running or pulling tool is a shear up release tool. GS tool is easily converted to a GR tool by adding a GU shear-up adapter. The GR tool is recommended where downward jar is necessary prior to retrieve pulling tool only or with subsurface device from the well.

External Fish Neck (SB, SS, SSJ)

RuiFeng S type running or pulling tool is used to run or pull the subsurface device with an external type fish neck. It is designed to shear and release by downward jar action. To accommodate the different types of devices, three type cores of different length is provided and they are interchangeable. The cores length is selected to give the desired reach.

If a stuck occurred after the tool is engaged on an external fish neck, a downward jar action enables this tool shear and retrieve.

Ruifeng's SSJ running or pulling tool is used when jarring downward on the skirt of this tool is required to release the external fish neck.
