One-trip plug Assemblies

The one-trip plug assemblies consist of a lock mandrel, equalizing valve, and bottom cap. It is used to hold the differential pressure from above and below during plugging operation. A running or pulling prong which installed below the running or pulling tool is designed to shift the inside valve to achieve the equalizing function. As the name suggest, the running or pulling operation of this plug only need one slick line trip, thus the operation time and cost are reduced. This one-trip plug is not recommended where debris can build up in or above the plug.
